Unit Overview
This qualification reflects the role of employees such as production operators in an underground metalliferous mine, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.
Entry Requirements
Above 18 years old. Must be currently working on an underground mine site.
Target Group
This unit applies to individuals who complete work activities in an underground metalliferous mine.
Number of Participants
Minimum 8 participants.
Duration
Four (4) to Five (5) days depending on participant’s experience and class numbers.

5 core units plus, 5 elective units

Each site can select the electives.

Your assessment will be comprised of a number of tasks which will include some of the following;
