Certificate IV in Training & Assessment in Perth WA
One of our most popular courses is the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The qualification provides participants with the skills and knowledge to deliver interesting and informative training sessions to groups and individuals, navigate the Australian training system and undertake competency based assessments against any benchmark or standard. This course is made up of 10 units which are grouped together into three clusters.
1. Learning Design Cluster This cluster examines the VET sector in Australia. Students learn about learning programs, using training packages to develop learning programs and the development of learning and assessment strategies. • TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs, TAEDES402 Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
2. Workplace Assessor Cluster In this cluster the participants learn about assessments, the theory behind assessments and assessment requirements. Activities include unpacking a unit of competency and planning for assessments. TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes, TAEASS402 Assess competence, TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation, TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools
3. Train the Trainer Cluster This cluster examines the preparation for training delivery and what makes a good trainer. Participants learn about what way people learn and different considerations that should be made in order to develop fantastic trainers. TAEDEL401 Plan, organise and deliver group-based learning, TAEDEL402 Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace, TAEDEL301 Provide work skill instruction
The Pivot Institute understand that most of our clients have busy schedules and need flexibility when it comes to taking on extra tasks. With this in mind, we offer this course in different ways to suit the busiest of schedules.
Facilitated Virtual Delivery: This would be the most popular and the recommended option. Students are required to attend sessions on Zoom using Pivot Online Learning System (POLS). This gives students an overview of the Cert IV and a fantastic head start into obtaining their qualification. The student is given access to the Pivot Online Learning System (POLS) to continue their learning journey. Online the students will find all the learning guides, assessment requirements and extra resources to finish their qualification. Additionally, students have the option to upload all of their completed assessments through the online portal.
Supported distance learning: To suit our students in other part of Australia, overseas or those who simply do not have the time to attend the zoom workshops, the qualification can be completed via distance learning. Our distance students receive all the learning materials in the post, have full access to Pivot Online Learning System and have the full support of one the Pivot Institute’s Trainers to guide them through.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): For our students who have experience or qualifications in areas related to the TAE or currently hold one of the superseded TAE qualifications they may be eligible to RPL some units.
